Ultimate Kronos Group (UKG) is looking for a passionate developer with high volume web application experience to join our team.

• You will make an immediate impact on our fast moving, customer centric Web Applications
• This individual needs to be able to deliver on the technical vision of the company and will work with clients, product managers, analysts, architects and engineers to plan, design, develop, test and implement Workforce Management/Human Capital Management Solutions consistent with the business objective
• You will work quickly and autonomously on complex issues where analysis of use cases, situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors and involves investigating issues and code execution, potentially, across all levels of the application stack, from database to browser, including external libraries
• You will suggest methods and technologies to improve our applications and development practices
• You will be a member of an Agile Development Scrum team, and will drive the solution with other Developers, Product Managers and QA engineers
• You will be data driven and utilize data in a cognizant manner to help team make good decisions


The following core skills are required for success in this position:

• 10+ years of hands-on development experience with Java based web development: SQL, Java, J2EE, MVC, JavaScript, ReactJS, HTML5, CSS, XML, application servers and web servers. Java based REST API
• 3+ years working within a truly agile development team with Test-driven development experience
• Has an excellent understanding of programming and testing concepts, design patterns, and best practices, and can translate that understanding directly to implementations
• Has a deep knowledge and stays on the forefront of all development languages and frameworks utilized by our applications (Java, CSS, Spring, Hibernate, etc.)
• Experience with cloud-based multi-tenant applications is desirable, Exposure to Google Cloud Platform is desirable
• Web/cloud-based distributed multi-tier application development using SOAP and RESTful web services
• Experience supporting applications in production and ability to monitor and manage production performance issues
• Experience as a Technical Leader managing development team is required
• Ability to multitask between different priorities
• Handling time sensitive customer escalations
• Creative and innovative thinking to find technical solutions that are practical to resolve issues within the product
