UKG is looking for an early career Associate Software Engineer to join its world class engineering team. You will play a key role in the development of our products, in a highly collaborative, agile environment. We work in small teams with daily stand ups, regular releases, and a culture of ownership.

Our HR and workforce management products are built for people, so our customers have the most powerful tools to support the entire employee lifecycle – from recruit to retire. In building these products, you’ll get to explore an innovative tech stack comprised of: Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, Hibernate, Spring Boot, Junit, MySQL, Redis, Kafka, Angular, Ionic, Docker, Kubernetes, Kibana, Grafana.

This provides you the opportunity to explore different roles, teams and technologies so you can craft a career that feels right for you!

This role provides the opportunity to:
• Participate in our onboarding and technical training program where you’ll build relationships with fellow participants and gain a strong understanding of our technical environment.
• Solve interesting problems with code.
• Build new features for internal and external users.
• Work with a wide range of systems, processes, and technologies to solve problems in sustainable ways.
• Write high quality code, that is supported by testing and metrics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering
• 1 year of hands-on development experience or relevant internship experience
• Proven knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming, Data Structures, and Algorithms
• Ability to code in a function or object-oriented programming language
• Knowledge of technologies we value, use and teach:
• Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, C#
• Hibernate, Spring Boot, Junit
• MySQL, Redis, Kafka
• Angular, Ionic
• Docker, Kubernetes
• Kibana, Grafana
• Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills
• Strong communication skills
• Self starter
