Our bilingual FR/ENG QA Manager will be leading the QA team within the schedule generation and forecasting engine group. This group develops and maintains software applications based on advanced mathematical and analytical methods (Operations Research) to solve complex decision-making problems. The QA Manager will ensure that software products are delivered timely with excellent quality. He/She will also be responsible for delivering a quality release and set of features – making decisions about feature readiness and identifying areas for quality improvements. As a QA Manager, you will be part of our global engineering management team within our latest SaaS/Google Cloud platform, UKG Dimensions.

Responsibilities:

• As a people manager, provide mentorship, guidance and support to the team, in using processes and tools, and ensure career growths as well.
• Drive and on-time delivery of software products with high quality, using agile and customer focused quality practices throughout project work
• Define and utilize metrics and reports to manage quality efforts, must take responsibility for the quality of products
• Define and drive with architects and product stakeholders the strategic aims and roadmap for product quality, including performance as well as testing throughout Software Development Life Cycle to achieve the department’s aim
• Drive high quality standards and practices through education, training and suggesting/trying new approaches to quality
• Collaborate with other teams within the quality organization as well as cross functionality with other key stakeholders in Development, Product Management and Project Management Office. High degree of matrix management and ability to influence others
• Expert in facilitating and managing groups & teams around a topic or activity
• Awareness of new technologies and make recommendations on future direction as it relates to quality as well as apply the latest techniques and industry information as appropriate.
• Recruit new employees with the local recruiter and ensure professional improvement, progression and training of employees through effective coaching and learning initiatives

Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant industry experience in QA/test automation environments along with 1+ years of experience in people management (1-1, hiring, performance reviews...)
• Good level of bilingualism French/English
• Experience as QA manager for a SAAS solution with both web FE and API BE public access
• Experience in Agile Scrum approach and CI/CD pipeline
• Strong knowledge on platform technologies like Docker/Kubernetes, VM, public cloud platform (Google, Aws, …)
• Experience working with remote teams (full time and consultants) and team members
• Experience in driving continuous improvements and innovation
• Ability to work collaboratively across functional boundaries to drive high quality results
• Key skills include an ability to organize and motivate a team, analyze and resolve risks, execute a project plan and communicate status accurately.
• Experience/Knowledge in Operations Research, or related fields, would be an asset.
