Description

A Business Analyst at UKG is an experienced and essential member of a cutting-edge agile team, responsible for the delivery of an innovative cloud based Human Capital Management (HCM) software solution. This individual is an analytical thinker with domain knowledge and strong customer focus. They are accountable for researching, analyzing, and documenting clear and actionable business requirements that will be distributed across one or more development teams. They have strong planning and execution skills which allow us to deliver functionality to customers incrementally, creating value over time.

This role requires talent and passion for collaboration and will be working with skilled Software Engineers, Business Analysts and Product Managers in creating high-quality software for customers and the organization in his/her product area. Skills essential to this role are strong analysis, organization, written and verbal communication, ability to grasp new domains quickly and understand the upstream and downstream effects, along with a disciplined approach to the processes (escalations, JIRA, documentation…) specific to UKG.

In support of our culture, we will be bringing a hybrid working model that offers work from home flexibility and a physical presence of 2-3 days a week in the office.

• Own the definition, prioritization and direction of complex features and enhancements that have cross domain/team dependencies throughout the development process.
• Define and document conditions of acceptance with other stakeholder input including UX Designers, Developers and QA.
• Drive customer & internal stakeholder meetings and research industry trends to identify customer needs.
• Participate in organizational and customer readiness activities for new product releases by reviewing learning content and joining knowledge transfer events.
• Act as a Subject Matter Expert for their product across the organization internally and assist with troubleshooting escalated customer issues.
• Mentor and train Business Analysts on tools, procedure, technology, standards, and guidelines.
• Collaborate with leadership on identifying and execution of process changes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a business discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 3+ years of experience as a Product Owner or Software/Product Business Analyst in Agile or Lean Software Development environment
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to quickly grasp complex functional issues and synthesize new ideas, decomposing into granular requirements
• Ability to inspire and lead development team to deliver on time with quality in a dynamic environment without management authority
• Ability to work independently, managing multiple priorities and self-motivate to enhance job performance
• Communicate complex concepts to stakeholders at multiple levels, guide individuals with different personalities and styles to a common outcome
• High degree of organizational skills
• Subject matter expert in primary domain and knowledge of related domains
• Functional and technical knowledge of HCM, Payroll or Tax systems strongly desired
• Certifications in HR related fields (e.g., CPP, FPC, CPA, PHR, SHRM-CP, CPP), preferred
