Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, Kronos Incorporated, a UKG company, Lowell, Massachusetts

As a member of an integrated and senior-level Cloud Deployment/Operation team, will be responsible for automating, building and providing production systems support for the deployment, configuration, monitoring, and upgrades of all Kronos Workforce Dimensions-related services into the Kronos Cloud. Specific duties and responsibilities will include:

• Designing automated patching and upgrading deployment systems and procedures.
• Managing the overall service deployment processes and systems.
• Performing upgrades of services including Scheduled Downtime Upgrades and Zero Downtime Upgrades.
• Working with the service enablement team on implementation methodologies and processes and designing, documenting and executing infrastructure services upgrades.
• Designing and implementing resilient Cloud services.
• Designing and implementing processes and policies for SOC2.
• Leading and training new team members of the Cloud Automation/Operations Team.
• Working with Customer Enablement Teams on defect resolutions.
• Preparation of analysis of business processes, including client interviews, current flow validation, and development of automated flow charts detailing process steps, hand offs and decision points.
• Providing Training, Consultation and Technical Support.
• Administrating the Cloud automation source code for deployment systems.
• Creating and maintaining documentation related to architecture and operational process for Splunk.

Qualifications

Position requires either (i) a Bachelor’s degree (or an equivalent foreign degree) in Computer Science, Information Systems or a closely related field and 5 years of experience as Network Infrastructure Engineer or (ii) a Master’s degree (or an equivalent foreign degree) in Computer Science, Information Systems or a closely related field and 3 years of experience as a Network Infrastructure Engineer.
Must also have had 3 years of experience (which can have been gained concurrently with the primary experience requirement above) designing and Implementing Enterprise Management Solutions for Cross Function Logging and Monitoring Tools and managing large Splunk Cluster Architecture. Must also have had experience (which can have been gained concurrently with the prior experience requirements) working with the following:

• Designing and deploying Spunk Multisite Cluster Architecture across a Public Cloud;
• Disaster recovery and business continuity;
• Working with Cloud development tools including specifically StackDriver, Appmon, JIRA, Git, Jenkins, Confluence and ServiceNow;
• Working with Unix and Windows from a logging and monitoring perspective; and
• Working with advanced patterns including Blue/Green deployments, In-Place upgrades and networking in Cloud environments.
