Description

• Ensure that debts are paid in a timely manner
• Initiate monthly reminders/statement process and diligent follow up to ensure timely resolution
• Proactively work with the key account customers to actively resolve any outstanding balances
• Chase overdue invoices by telephone, email & letter within agreed timescales
• Maintain accurate records of all chasing activity
• Handle disputed bills and negotiate to bring payment within the agreed terms
• Respond promptly and completely to both client and internal enquiries
• Regular inter-departmental meetings to ensure all relevant debts are managed as necessary
• Prepare files for transfer to the Debt Recovery Dept.
• Analyze and report on collection status & Progress.
• Meet cash & debtor day targets set by the Firm
• Ensure monthly processing deadlines are met as required

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar
- Fluent in Dutch/English - French is a plus
- 1 to 3 years of experience in credit & collections
- Competence in Microsoft Office products. Knowledge Oracle database is an asset.
- Works well both independently and in a team
- Continuously strives to acquire and develop related business knowledge.
