Description & Qualifications


The Contract Negotiator drafts, negotiates and supports all contract-related management support for prospective and existing customer agreements. This role will provide vital legal, commercial, and operational support to our Sales, Services, Cloud and Sales Operations teams mainly during customer negotiations. This role requires an organized and articulate individual who has a strong attention to detail, is able to set and meet deadlines, able to respond quickly and effectively to the sales team and UKG’s customers needs, and is flexible with regard to work hours. The Contract Negotiator will have an opportunity to influence and participate in the growth of the business.

Primary/Essential Duties and Key Responsibilities:
• This person is responsible for negotiating, drafting, updating, reviewing, structuring, escalating, and administrating all customer facing agreements, including those that establish business relationships with customers.
• This person will be responsible for analyzing sales transactions to ensure compliance to company policy, applicable laws/regulations and other established guidelines and requirements, as well as resolving customer and sales inquiries to achieve high-level customer satisfaction in a fast-paced deadline driven environment.
• This person is flexible to work on “ad hoc” projects and other responsibilities within the legal department.


Required Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years prior experience completing and/or drafting form templates
• Minimum 1 year prior experience negotiating terms and conditions, drafting contractual provisions, preparing contracts for review and ensuring compliance with company policy as well as applicable laws/regulations
• Experience negotiating and drafting software, Software as a Service (SaaS), or services contracts is preferred
• Proficient with Microsoft Word (including the track changes features)
• Create and update contract templates
• Ability to utilize time efficiently to meet multiple deadlines
• Ability to work in an independent yet collaborative environment
• Ability to communicate in person and by telephone in a confident, articulate manner.
• Extremely detailed/accuracy oriented.
• Good understanding of contracts (including knowledge of software licensing and related services agreements).
• Ability to make confident, supportable decisions in time sensitive situations.
• Ability to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Ability to multitask effectively.
• Communicate and work well in a team environment and with existing clients including excellent verbal and written communications.
• Proven follow-up skill-sets.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Legal education and background
• SaaS negotiation experience in the HR/payroll space
• Knowledge of Teams

Colorado Pay Law

The pay range for this position in Colorado is $47,000 to $65,000, however, base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge and location. This position is also eligible for a short-term incentive and a long-term incentive as part of total compensation.
