About the Governance, Risk, & Compliance Track

UKG is looking for an intern to join our Third-Party Risk Management team for the fall of 2022! As an intern in our Governance, Risk, & Compliance track, you will work in various aspects of an enterprise Third-Party Risk program within a global organization.

This position works as part of the Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) department, which is responsible for management of cyber risk across the enterprise.  The role offers the opportunity to be engaged in all facets of cyber risk including security, privacy, and risk management.  As a member of the department, the individual will be committed to overall data protection risk management and its role in the company's continued success. In this Third-Party Risk internship, you will be responsible for the following:

• Supports the Third-Party Risk Management team in daily operations and project work
• Learns to utilize company’s Vendor Risk Management (VRM) platform which supports Third-Party Risk program
• Provides support for new Third-Party Risk program initiatives
• Assists with ongoing monitoring risk assessments of existing third parties
• Helps to advise business owners on appropriate implementation of information security and privacy controls for new third-party services
• Identifies risks associated with a Third Party and tracks risks as necessary
• Works with Procurement and Legal departments to ensure proper information security and privacy provisions are included in new third-party agreements


• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree – preference will be given to upperclassmen
• Pursuing a major in Information Technology, Systems, MIS, Risk Management, Engineering, Computer Science, or another related field
• Able to commit to a full-time internship September 6th, 2022 – December 16th
• Interests in IT, risk management, infrastructure, engineering, and modern end user technologies
• Microsoft suite proficiency
• Ability to multi-task/prioritize
• Strong business acumen to include strong verbal and written communication skills
• Quick learner with new software or computer applications
• Strong analytical, business process analysis, and problem-solving capabilities
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to engage and connect with internal partners
