About the Cyber Security Track

UKG is looking for interns to join our Digital Team for the Cyber Security Track! We have opportunities within multiple facets of cyber security such as Security Experience, Global Security, and Global Security Research and Architecture. As an intern in our Cyber Security track, you will work in various aspects of a global digital organization and gain experience working cross functionally. You will have the opportunity to be part of a team working with various security technologies that operates with a follow-the-sun structure working to ensure continuous monitoring, detection and response to security events affecting UKG and our customers.

In this Cyber Security internship, you will be responsible for the following:

• Security Tool Optimization and Automation: Ensure peak performance of security tools (e.g., SAST, SCA, DAST, MAST) in the SDLC and develop automation solutions to enhance security.
• Security Expertise and Awareness: Stay updated on the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and DevSecOps trends to implement effective security measures.
• Collaborative Integration: Collaborate closely with development teams to embed security practices throughout the entire software development lifecycle.
• Assessment and Reporting: Conduct thorough threat, risk, and network assessments, presenting findings through research-backed reports and presentations.
• Team Coordination and Technology Management: Oversee incoming work in the Security Engineering team, manage security technologies (e.g., Antivirus, Firewalls, SEIM, CASB), and demonstrate basic scripting abilities.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Cyber Security or related field with ability to commit to a full-time internship
• Interest in IT, infrastructure, engineering, and modern technologies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft suite and quick software learning.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective interpersonal and collaboration abilities.
• Knowledge of security tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira) is a plus.
• Understanding of networking, OWASP Top 10, and security standards.
• Willingness to learn APIs, scripting languages, cloud security, and cybersecurity concepts, along with self-motivation and adaptability.
