Are you a Technology Leader that is excited about building and leading a high performing data engineering team? Are you interested in leading a team that is building a brand new data product that impacts the life of an employee? We are looking for a data engineering manager who is passionate about the development of engineers, team building, quality, process improvement and truly enjoys what they do.

Primary/Essential Duties and Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development of new features, implementation of new technologies and frameworks.
• Facilitate productive and positive team communication and collaboration. This includes but is not limited to: cultivating an environment of visibility and open discussion, resource planning and partnering with other leaders and direct reports.
• Mentor and support the professional, technical and personal growth of team members. Help develop their career path by assigning projects tailored to their strengths and opportunities, personality, work style and goals while reassuring a healthy exploration beyond their “comfort zone”.
• Own team processes to increase engineering efficiency. Develop, measure and interpret metrics that serve as indicators of team performance and use this information to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Expedite project deliverables while maintaining sustainable work pace that does not compromise on standards and quality. 
• Experience setting and achieving sound goals.
• Ability to build and maintain productive relationships with a diverse array of stakeholders and groups in the organization. 
• Proven leadership in facilitating complex discussions to achieve goals and solve problems. Proven analytical and decision-making skills.
• Supervise consultants and vendors when engaged


• 8+ years of relevant data engineering, data warehousing and BI experience, with 5 years of hands-on technical leadership and people management experience (managing teams of 8 or more developers).
• Bachelors' degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Management. Equivalent experience related to the requirements above also considered.
• Experience with cloud data platforms such as GCP, Azure, AWS is a plus.
• Depth of knowledge in Lean-Agile development methodologies such as Kanban or Scrum.
• Enterprise-scale SaaS production environment in a microservices architecture and distributed systems design and architecture.
