Description & Qualifications


Here at UKG we are currently looking for a Data Governance Analyst. This full time remote position will focus on designing and executing a data standards and governance strategy, including a framework aligned with data requirements, analysis, and metadata management. You will actively facilitate data governance, and educate staff on data related policies and procedures to ensure that data reporting is accurate, accessible, and maintained.
• Provide thought leadership and collaborate cross-functionally to enable the development and deployment of a data standards and governance strategy for the Global Delivery Services (GDS) organization
• Participate in the application and deployment of data policies and processes and their continued enforcement to include areas such as workflow for data ingestion, data quality, master data and data life cycle management
• Support the development and maintenance of an end to end data lifecycle management approach
• Ensure that data quality guidance and direction is applied throughout the entire dat lifecycle, most importantly upfront, through the vision and roadmaps for solutions that seek the leverage data and data services
• Responsible for applying data governance framework including the management of data, operating model, data policies and standards
• Work with business partners to gather and understand functional requirements, develop complex queries and provide reports


Minimum Requirements
• A minimum of 5 years of work experience with a broad data-centric background, database-oriented applications, database/warehouse architecture, and administration across platforms
• A minimum of 3 years relevant work experience in data quality management, information architecture and governance design and implementation, with significant influence on overall direction of data governance management
• Demonstrated experience in developing and operationalizing data based guidelines, policies, procedures, and standards
• Demonstrated ability to build cross-functional relationships that result in adoption of organizational change
• Knowledge of data modeling concepts, modern data lake approaches, alternative schemas and approaches to transactional and analytics data repositories
• Prior experience with programming languages and big data tools, BI and visualization tools, executing Proof of Concepts and working in both waterfall and agile environments
• Consultative mindset, experience working directly with business owners to field requirements and interpret results
Preferred Skills
• Any Data Governance, applicable vendor or industry certifications is a plus
• Strong SQL experience preferred
