The Human Resources market is undergoing a dynamic shift in roles, functions, and purpose as HR leaders help shape how organizations and employees can prosper in this new century. To support these more people-focused shifts, UKG is re-envisioning Life-work Technology and how our technology solutions and people-first service approaches will play a role in helping organizations prepare for these new opportunities in the digital age.

To enable these new shifts, UKG created a Product Vision, Insight, Communications, and Education team to be a hub for insights and communications tools to inform this evolution and growth. With a focus on market trends, as well as business, competitive, customer, and product insights, this team is influencing how we make and communicate new product investments and innovations to internal and external stakeholders. A critical responsibility of this team is helping UKG Product Leaders purposefully translate, educate and communicate the business value of investment decisions that is relevant and meaningful to each audience – internally and externally – to advance UKG’s vision and influence existing and prospective customers’ purchase consideration and positively impact the size and sustainability of sales deals. To deploy these capabilities, UKG is seeking an experienced Director Communications, Product to create and execute a communication framework that can be used for new and existing products and technologies.

Primary/Essential Duties and Key Responsibilities:
• In partnership with Product Leadership, VICE, Product Marketing and UKG’s Analyst Relations, develop and deliver effective, scalable and repeatable product communications tools and support (e.g., presentations, scripts, videocasts, blog articles) that emphasize UKG’s uniqueness, supported by product insights and data that tell a compelling story.
• In service to New and Existing Sales teams, support Product Leadership in developing a compelling story personalized to the audience that highlights UKG’s innovation and vision and leads to a positive next call-to-action to secure retention and/or win new business.
• Collaborate with VICE practice areas to develop and support a variety of Product Leadership content for internal and external events including Annual Product Planning, Executive Committee Briefings, Annual and Mid-Year Sales and Pre-Sales meetings, UKG Customer Conferences (e.g., Connections, UKG Works, etc.) and external conferences.
• Project Management within VICE’s Communications & Alignment practice to ensure deliverables are of highest quality, on track and delivered on time.

• Collaborate within the VICE team and with other key stakeholders to build and mature the Product Communications Framework.
• Demonstrate the ability to dig deep on roadblocks, challenges, and issues and articulate the impact and suggested solutions to the leadership team. Be a change agent to activate these solutions.
• Showcase a high degree of emotional intelligence to facilitate critical conversations and risk mitigation in moments of high complexity and stress.
• Be flexible to take on work that might not yet have defined ownership to support program success.


Required Qualifications:
• 5-10 years of experience in building and managing product, customer- and/or sales-focused communication programs
• Dynamic Problem Solver with a deep understanding of software development and release processes and approaches
• Strong (acquired) knowledge of UKG product organization, vision and roadmaps
• Strong (existing) knowledge of UKG product, marketing, and sales processes and organization is a plus
• Excellent communicator, verbal and written, with the ability to simplify complex concepts into digestible frameworks or messages
• Able to collaborate effectively across business functions and with different personalities
• Able to navigate and facilitate alignment in a complex global organization
• Proven ability to succeed in a dynamic & demanding environment to meet critical deadlines
• Eagerness to flex with the needs of the business to take on new challenges
• BA, BS in a technology or HR related field
• Professional Certifications (BC, PMP, PCM, etc.) a plus
