Description

The Director, Product Data Engineering will be responsible for driving the engineering and architecture that enables our enterprise-wide Data and AI platform to drive business value and customer success. The team currently includes a core centralized direct team and an extensive virtual teams across engineering and the business.

Qualifications

Responsibilities
• Own in collaboration with other leaders and Architects, the data and AI platform architecture ensuring security, functionality, and integration with all core data sources
• Be the Engineering leader responsible for executing on our product roadmap using agile practices
• Deliver a high scale and high reliability data engineering platform
• Develop and operationalize enterprise wide data policies, standards and procedures
• Manage, lead and motivate cross-functional, interdisciplinary teams to achieve strategic and tactical business outcomes
• Drive data security program to ensure best in class security protection techniques in compliance with required legal and regulatory policy
• Improve product quality through world class engineering practices
• Partner closely with the senior/executive leadership to optimize delivery of data insights, and realization of greater business value
• Empower other product and business teams to grow their analytics capabilities as their needs expand, supported by a centralized data expertise and a flexible data platform
• Keep pace with the changing business environment, technology and data innovation in order to optimize data value and mitigate risks


Basic Qualifications
• 15+ years of related experience in leading product engineering teams
• Bachelor and/or Master’s Degree in Data Science, Computer Science or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications
• 15 to 20 years of experience in increasingly responsible roles with at least 10 years of data related executive leadership within a complex global business environment
• Experience implementing data and AI solutions in a ‘product leadership’ technology environment.
• Strong customer focus (internal and external). Understanding of customer centricity and design thinking to drive solutioning
• Extensive experience building and managing a diverse and inclusive team environment with strong commitment to respect, equality, collaboration and teaming.
• Strong demonstrated ability to skillfully hire, develop, lead, motivate, performance manage, and coach a cross-section of data and technology professionals and managers.
• Must be a strong leader, with the ability to influence throughout the organization, across all divisions and effectively communicate a business vision, key objectives, data needs and personal contributions.
• Effective and comfortable managing different stakeholders without full accountability for the entire data landscape of the organization.
• Highly technical, confident at the operational management level and comfortable in an engineering heavy organization.
• Experience with highly sensitive data and maintaining its security as a top priority; understanding big data and technology at scale.
• Established history of effectively managing large teams on an international basis with an impressive track record of developing talent.
• Comfortable in a fast paced, rapid growth environment
• Knowledge and expertise of US/EU privacy laws, including GDPR and CCPA ITIL Certification.
