Director, Services & Distribution Industry Marketing

This Director role will lead a team in collaborating with sales leadership, product, and partners, to set a strategic vision and execute on thought leadership, content creation, and marketing programs that help our customers and prospects maximize the potential of their people.

This multi-faceted role works in harmony with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, to develop content for a variety of purposes. Adding fuel to the fire that drives our efforts in lead generation, program marketing, events, field outreach, and account-based marketing.

As a trusted partner to iconic brands within financial services, professional services, contract & field services in addition to logistics, distribution, and third-party logistics service verticals, this role requires relevant industry experience and an appreciation for how HCM (Human Capital Management) /WFM (Workforce Management) technology can empower employees and employers alike to overcome challenges in a constantly evolving field.

The world is always moving and so is this team. Directly supporting the Services & Distribution sales team (over 50 sellers), means being agile, responsive, and strategic. From creating original programming and thought leadership specific to HCM and WFM, to strategizing on messaging and pitches, to brainstorming ideas for virtual events, every day brings new opportunities to innovate. Additionally, the team supports cross-vertical marketing programs such as providing content that addresses topical situations, selecting speakers for events, and recruiting customers to share their stories. Then when you have hit your stride, it’s time to survey the landscape and predict what the future needs of the industry will be and how UKG can assist customers with its solutions.

This existing team consists of seasoned marketing professionals and is looking forward to an inspirational leader who can support their success and the success of UKG. The objectives of the team include collaborating in both strategic planning and execution of marketing plans with Sales and Demand generation teams, increasing productivity of the content created, improving our digital presence, and delivering a differentiated industry perspective if UKG’s products in content and field programs.


Qualifications and Requirements:

• 10+ Years of Professional Services or Logistics/Distribution industry experience, preferably working directly in industry
• 5+ Years of managing teams of marketing professionals
• Experience with enterprise software, preferably within the HCM or WFM technology space
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Capable of thriving in highly collaborative and cross functional settings. Sometimes taking the lead, sometimes following a leader
• High levels of creativity and problem-solving skills that focuses on providing answers to difficult questions
• Desire to take on special cross-functional projects to advance the goals of Industry Marketing within UKG
• The ability to understand how software can generate ROI for our customers
• The ability to map product features to industry challenges, creating a solution.
• Bachelor’s degree plus life experiences that have developed critical thinking skills.
