Description

The Director, Resource Management Office plays a critical role in providing strategic resource oversight and management to optimize the Global Delivery Services workforce. This role will lead resourcing strategy, methodologies, process, and capacity planning. On a day-to-day basis, the Director is accountable for planning, control, and execution of all staffing processes (both contractor and full-time employee) including the activities further defined below. They will provide expertise and deliver workforce planning, supply/demand balancing, and guide optimal Resource Management decisions that benefit our people, our customers, and our business. This role will also work to establish, improve, and adopt principles, processes and technologies which enable effective resource management in line with the objectives of the Global Delivery Services organization (GDS).

The Director will lead a team of Resource Management professionals who are working with specific Verticals / Teams, driving operational excellence, and ensuring our Services organization meets their financial and business objectives. They will focus on building capabilities, increasing impact, and helping these professionals to balance the competing priorities of various stakeholders.

Responsibilities include:

• Develop, implement, and execute strategies aiming to promote the efficient and effective management and utilization of GDS resources.
• Oversee the resourcing teams which focus on allocation and assignment of global resources (both full time and contractor staff) to the appropriate projects, placing the right people in the right positions to ensure project success, across Verticals and business segments.
• Optimize utilization across the business units by making staffing recommendations and decisions in support of the GDS deployment strategy.
• Identify process gaps and implement process improvements to facilitate the efficient management of Services resources.
• Drive capacity planning and work with senior leadership to understand key resource requirements, training, and development. Ensure the development of resourcing strategies to meet both current and future organizational needs.
• Proactively reviews staffing data and develops and communicates meaningful insights on trends, forecasts, opportunities for improvement and areas of concern; provides suggestions for improvement.
• Drive the creation of meaningful reporting & analytics to highlight key staffing metrics, manage capacity, and forecast staffing needs.
• Coach, mentor and develop team.
• Actively seek out and solve for barriers / problems / risks to ensure a successful resource management function. Develop and lead the maturation of resource management processes and capabilities.

Qualifications

• 4-year college degree, or equivalent experience
• Proven 15+ years of experience leading a resourcing group within a global service organization, ideally within a Consulting or Technology company
• Understanding of key resource management metrics and how these metrics impact financial performance, customer delivery and employee engagement
• Willingness and expertise to collaborate with cross-departmental leaders to ensure proper resourcing strategies are implemented. Comfortable working with all levels of the organization
• Track record of process improvement and influencing change
• Thoughtful leader who has a passion for people development
• Experience utilizing PSA tools and CRM applications; strong excel and PowerPoint skills
• Excellent communication skills and highly collaborative working style
• Willingness to create new tools and processes and comfortable with ambiguity
• A focus on getting things done in a fast paced, changing environment
