UKG is looking for an energetic, highly collaborative, and passionate leader to manage world-class software engineering teams. The Senior Director of Software Engineering, Pro HR will be responsible for leading a team of exceptional architects, managers, software engineers, test engineers, and other tech professionals. This person will lead the evolution of our Pro HR products. We work in a collaborative environment with geographically distributed teams, and we value transparent communication, collaboration, and making learning fun!
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate to own the vision for Pro HR with Product leaders, Enterprise Architects, and other key stakeholders
• Lead cross-functional project delivery across Pro Suite
• Promote development and operational excellence for our flagship solutions
• Mentor and support high-performing engineers, fostering their growth and expertise
• Collaborate with diverse teams to create innovative software that captivates our customer and motivates our colleagues
• Handle all aspects of software development, including operational metrics and support for your team's software
• Drive continuous improvement of delivery performance and quality in an agile environment
• Take charge of 5-6 Scrum teams

Qualifications

Qualifications
• 10+ years of experience in Software Development and minimum 2 years as a Director, leading/managing multiple engineering teams in a large enterprise.
• Experience managing teams in a SaaS enterprise product in AWS, Google, or Azure
• Experience working with development teams, embracing end-to-end service ownership, in an Agile/Scaled-Agile environment.
• Experience partnering with product and program management teams
• Experience managing agile software projects across multiple and geographically distributed teams
• Expertise in building large scale systems using C#/.Net or Java/JEE using variety of Enterprise architectural patterns
• Experience with managing contractor teams.
• Experience in developing and implementing budgets
• A degree in Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent academic qualifications

• Experience/Expertise in working with stakeholders across different disciplines (i.e. Platform, Product Management, etc.). Be able to disagree, yet align, when dealing with different stakeholders
• Action-oriented strategic thinker

• Strong verbal and communication skills
• Strong analytical skills and an out of the box thinker
• Self-starter with the ability to multi-task and work in a very fast paced environment
• Track record of defining and delivering cross functional solutions that are innovative and extensible
• Results oriented and with a strong customer focus
• Highly autonomous
• Delivers with little guidance
• Strong mentor of peers and subordinates
