We are looking for a seasoned back end Java software engineer who brings some (or a lot) of complimentary front end skills, as well as experience in organizing, and mentoring/leading a passionate agile team of software developers. The team is tasked with further the integrating our HCM and WFM suites of products into a world class level experience.

Responsibilities will include:
• Leading and influencing key initiatives for our team' services, developing code for integrating the business structures from one product into another. Please let me know if you need more details about the work this role intakes.
• Developing strategies and driving complex projects with minimal to no guidance while anticipating issues, recognizing risks, considering alternatives, and supporting long range goals.
• Being the bridge between architecture, management and a 9-person team communicating, influencing across levels and preparing the technical content that the team will use to execute and deliver on initiatives.
• Leveraging your proven experience with Kotlin, Java, Angular and JS
• Proficiency with CQRS and Event Sourcing
• Strong experience working with continuous integration and continuous delivery

Qualifications

Basic
• 6+ years’ of Agile development experience with back end strengths with Java and/or Kotlin; knowledge/skills on the front end with JavaScript and Angular are preferred.
• 2+ years’ experience building event-driven, reactive microservices, with Kafka Streams highly preferred.
• 2+ years leading and developing strategy for large key initiatives with substantial risk and complexity with minimal guidance
• Experience with Git and its workflows
• Understand and leverage elements of Devops best practices such as version control, automated testing, automated deployment, CI/CD
• Experience working with Kubernetes, Docker, and public cloud deployment platforms

Preferred
• Cross platform experience
• Knowledge of identity technologies such as SAML, SSO, OAuth, OIDC is a real plus
• Self-motivated, continuous improvement mindset and willing to get the job done
• Ability to manage and balance multiple deliverables concurrently in an environment with shifting priorities

We have 'returned to each other' here at UKG!!
This means a hybrid schedule of collaborating on site for 3 days per week in our Weston office, the balance working remote.
