Description

As the Global SOC Principal, you will be part of UKG's Global Security/Security Operations Center (GS SOC). In your role, you will provide guidance and technical oversight to the regional SOC Leads & the SOC management team on efforts to mature the Monitoring & Response program, develop the Threat Hunting and Countermeasures programs, respond to and remediate cyber security related incidents, and implement tools and technologies that drive faster response/containment times for the SOC. You will also work in partnership with the Detection Engineering, Threat Intelligence, and Incident Management teams to not only help develop a pipeline of relevant and real-world threat detections and hunt use cases, but to also help assess and mature those programs and their interactions with the SOC.

Qualifications

Working professional with 5-7 years of relevant experience working in incident response and/or SOC development and practices
3-5 additional years of relevant experience providing in-depth knowledge in collecting, analyzing, and escalating/responding to cyber security events and/or collecting, analyzing, disseminating cyber threat intelligence
1-2 years experience in developing and/or performing threat hunts in enterprise environments
Experience in use case development, correlation search tuning for security event detections, and incident response playbook automations
Knowledge of cyber attack stages (e.g., reconnaissance, scanning, enumeration, gaining
access, escalation of privileges, maintaining access, etc) and/or the MITRE ATT&CK framework and general adversarial/defensive security techniques.
Proficient in Python programming or similar programming language experience
