Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Spends majority of their time working on day-to-day Salesforce related development tasks, requiring high degree of technical expertise.
• Provides high-level effort estimates on assigned tasks
• Works independently with some supervision
• Participates in Salesforce related architectural and solution discussions
• Seeks to gain understanding of UKG's org/system infrastructure in order to troubleshoot issues and engage the appropriate engineering teams as issues arise that fall out of our domain
• Seeks to acquire in-depth knowledge of Salesforce, Apex, Visualforce, related tools, technologies and best-practices
• Provides in-depth troubleshooting skills to assist in resolving errors and performance issues
• Engages in conversations with end-users to understand their line of business
• Communicates progress/status regularly amongst project teams, cross-department teams, and end-users
• Collaborates with the Salesforce team regarding application support, helping to oversee the communication, analysis, testing, and implementation as the need arises
• Remains aware and up-to-date of product developments that translate into environmental or code modifications
• Leverages pre-defined processes, instructions, guidelines, and policies to perform day to day tasks
• Works closely with security and change management teams to ensure processes, procedures, and best practices all conform to audits that UKG is required to pass (ISO 27001, SAS70, and SOX compliance)

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications/Skills:
• 2 years+ experience using Apex, Visualforce and salesforce integrated/Interfacing applications
• Experience using MS Outlook, MS Excel, MS Word, MS Visio, MS PowerPoint
• Experience using ETL tools
• Experience with Salesforce Service Cloud

Interpersonal Skills:
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Excellent and efficient written and verbal communication skills
• Effectively works as a member of an agile team and/or independently
• Willing to interact and be patient with end-users and other departments who may not be technically skilled
• Highly self-motivated to continuously learn new methodologies/technologies both Salesforce and otherwise
• Possesses a “do what it takes” mentality in order to get the job done.
• Moderately task-oriented
• Ability to identify and prioritize technical system and application issues in a timely manner for self and others
• Ability to lead educational discussions and presentations.
• Must be open to feedback of seniors when being mentored and in turn assist in the mentoring of other development staff members


Education/Certification/License:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related discipline preferred
• Salesforce ADM201 and DEV401 Certification preferred
