Description

UKG is looking for a skilled Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to dive deep into our software, write code to automatically verify our quality, define the test strategy, technologies, and implement new processes/tools to streamline our quality.

Responsibilities
· Design and implement automated test suites in a fast-paced agile environment using Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, & Continuous Deployment concepts to allow for efficient delivery of high quality products.
· Implement successful test strategies resulting in efficient test development and execution models.
· Drive the overall Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) towards quality-centric methodologies.
· Execute tests, interpret results, and communicate on a regular basis, resulting in quick solutions to any quality concerns.
· Solve difficult/complex architecture or test problems.
· Maintain/Build test infrastructure
Mentor junior SDETs on test methodologies, test automation coding standards and best practices through code reviews and designing quality test plans

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or similar technical field
· 9+ years of experience as an SDET or similar role, actively coding using Java or another modern programming language (Object Oriented Programming (OOP))
· Demonstrated proficiency in design and coding with an emphasis on building test automation and tools.
· Experience with test automation, test tool creation, automation framework (Coded UI, Selenium, REST API, etc.)
· Proven track record of delivering robust automated tests with a high level of maintainability.
· Experience in developing product test harnesses and instrumenting products to gather test results
· Experience working in a UNIX/Linux environment and utilizing virtual machines
· Experience working in a SaaS environment.
· Knowledge of Quality Assurance methodology and tools and software testing standards
