Description
The Lead Business Process Consultant will report to the Manager, Business Process Analysis in the Financial Initiatives Program Office within Finance. This person will act as an internal consultant to Finance on Finance-related transformation and process improvement projects. Another key responsibility will be to support the evolution of the business process framework / governance model, as well as to foster a continuous improvement mindset across the organization. This position requires someone with broad experience working with cross functional teams, strong stakeholder management, facilitation, teamwork, problem-solving, adaptability, and communication skills.Key Responsibilities
• Lead or support process transformation projects that support the future vision of the Finance organization
• Facilitate cross-functional process discussions to solicit ideas and design input
• Analyze business processes to identify pain points, gaps, and areas requiring enhanced process controls
• Create new process documentation or optimize existing processes using business process modeling best practices
• Proactively identify and communicate potential risks
• Assist in identifying automation and/or process optimization opportunities, utilizing data to drive decision-making
• Present findings and recommendations to business stakeholders for further prioritization
• Provide guidance on leading practices and act as a catalyst for change
• Support the execution of Finance’s Business Process Governance Model
• Track process performance measures as needed
• Perform other duties as needed or upon request
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred• 5+ years of relevant business experience; Finance/Accounting process knowledge preferred
• Process mapping experience required; Six Sigma certification preferred
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently, including outside of actual reporting structure
• Ability to effectively manage multiple demands, shifting priorities, ambiguity, and rapid change
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate to all levels of the organization
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
• Microsoft Office Suite, especially Visio, PowerPoint, and Excel
