The Lead Contract Negotiator drafts, negotiates and supports all contract-related management support for prospective and existing customer agreements. This role will provide vital legal, commercial, and operational support to our Sales, Services, Cloud and Sales Operations teams mainly during customer negotiations. This role requires an organized and articulate individual who has a strong attention to detail, is able to set and meet deadlines, and is flexible with regard to work hours. The Lead Contract Negotiator will have an opportunity to influence and participate in the growth of the business.

Responsibilities
• This person is responsible for negotiating, drafting changes, reviewing, structuring, and administrating agreements that establish business relationships with customers and/or partners
• This person will be responsible for analyzing sales transactions to ensure compliance to company policy (including the Kronos finance principles), applicable laws/regulations and other established guidelines and requirements, as well as resolving customer and Field Sales inquiries to achieve high-level customer satisfaction in a fast-paced deadline driven environment
• This person is flexible to work on “ad hoc” projects and other responsibilities within the legal department

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years prior experience negotiating terms and conditions, drafting contractual provisions, preparing contracts for review and ensuring compliance with company policy as well as applicable laws/regulations
• Experience with procurement processes, such as RFP (Request for Proposal) process, negotiation of contracts, drafting contractual clauses and use of alternative contracting vehicles preferred (through partner or re-sellers)
• Experience negotiating and drafting software, Software as a Service (SaaS), or services contracts is preferred
• Good understanding of contracts (including knowledge of software licensing and related services agreements)
• Ability to make confident, supportable decisions in time sensitive situations and identify and resolve issues in a timely manner
• Communicate and work well in a team environment and with existing clients including excellent verbal and written communications.
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher with a concentration in law, legal studies, paralegal studies, is preferred
