Description

As a Senior Security Analyst, you will be part of UKG's Global Security Detection Engineering team. This global team is responsible for detecting and responding to sophisticated cyber threats and attacks. In your role you will leverage a variety of tools and resources to proactively detect, investigate, and respond to emerging and/or persistent threats impacting UKG and/or its customers.

Responsibilities:
• You will contribute to the design and delivery of a scalable and optimized SIEM/SOAR solution with the goal of real time threat detection with automated response capabilities.
• You will work with like minded people on your team and in partnership with the Security Operations Center (SOC), Threat Intelligence, and Incident Management teams to help develop a pipeline of relevant and real-world threat detections and hunt use cases.

Qualifications

• 6+ years' experience in information security, with 2-3 years of relevant experience developing cyber threat use cases and correlation search tuning for security event detections
• 2-3 additional years of relevant experience working as a Security Operation Center (SOC) analyst and/or Cyber Threat Intelligence analyst for a mid to large size company/institution
• Strong understanding of the Splunk Query Language with the ability to create advanced correlation searches and dashboards
• Knowledge of cyber attack stages (e.g., reconnaissance, scanning, enumeration, gaining access, escalation of privileges, maintaining access, etc) and/or the MITRE ATT&CK framework and general adversarial/defensive security techniques.
• Proficient in Python programming or similar programming language experience, Splunk Cloud ES and Splunk SOAR (Phantom) Experience highly preferred
