Description & Qualifications


Leads, communicates, and provide oversight of UKGCloud based recovery in the event of a disaster. Assist the Cloud Team in the design, testing and implementation of Disaster Recovery solutions and processes for UKG Cloud Operations.

Responsible for integrating additional enhancements into the existing processes / tooling with quality results and further user adoption accordingly. Provide data and/or collateral that support DR related metrics and initiatives on an on-going basis. Manage testing and internal DR planning and configuration support for all cloud customers. Partner with the other service and/or service functions to remediate any issues or answer customer questions.

Responsibilities will include though are not limited to:

Review and develop Disaster Recovery strategies.

Draft procedures for identifying failures and invoking contingency plans, create response procedures and identify communications channels.

Oversee Disaster Recovery process for Kronos cloud customers:

Schedules, coordinates and executes annual DR tests to meet both customer and regulatory compliance (SOC & HIPAA) requirements, internally and externally as applicable.

Tracks test data to include functions tested, pass fail, test analysis, Issues/Action Item follow-up and create post-test reporting summaries.

Communicates with various response teams during testing, create response procedures and support the design, development, installation, implementation and administration of backup solutions.

Make recommendations to the operations group on DR system enhancements, design and administer programs to include policies, standards, guidelines and a viable quality assurance process for disaster recovery.

Develops and maintains customer specific DR requirements.


5+ years of professional experience with 3 years in a role related to Disaster Recovery

Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent experience

Strong project management and communications skills

Proven ability to understand complex business issues and align communications strategies and outcomes accordingly.

Significant experience managing crises.

An ability to assess the severity and priority of multiple incoming inquiries from management, customers and internal employees.

Problem identification, judgment, resolution and decision-making skills.

Capacity to lead under pressure, make decisions in ambiguous situations, and drive cross group consensus in short periods.

Ability to work well interpersonally cross functionally and cross-discipline at various levels as well as influence and manage without direct authority.

Prior experience developing and maintaining disaster recovery plans and DR tests.

Prior experience with tools that support ITIL / ITSM processes.

Strong meeting facilitation skills
