The Lead Learning Experience Designer supports the UKG Learning and Community team strategy and delivers high-quality learning solutions in a blended delivery model. We are looking for a Learning Experience Designer, preferably with a background in timekeeping and absence management, to help our customers, solution consultants, and partners learn how to use and configure these products in Dimensions. The Learning Experience Designer is a member of the UKG Learning and Community Team, reporting under the Curriculum Development team and is responsible for the design and development of standardized education solutions for multiple UKG products in a variety of vertical industries. In addition to developing your own L&D deliverables, you will be expected to be able to coach and mentor other team members, contribute to resources planning, monitor and report on project progress, issues, risks, report and document project metrics, timelines and results.


PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
• Use UKG design processes, templates, procedures, and tools to rapidly design and develop engaging and impactful learning activities and compelling course content, including but not limited to job aids, Articulate Rise pages, and instructor-led course materials
• Work with subject matter experts to identify the target audience’s training needs and product capabilities
• Ensure projects are completed on time and according to design, development, and quality standards
• Conduct internal reviews and testing to evaluate courseware during the design and development phases
• Influence organizational change in support of leadership vision
• Facilitate and lead cross-functional meetings to discuss and reach agreements related to complex concepts and content
• Stay current in training trends and recommend other training media, methods, and approaches to implement new ideas in a cost-effective manner
• Attend product training sessions and work to become a product expert
• Solve complex issues
• Identify innovative solutions
• Coach and mentor other team members based on expertise
• Lead projects, create and manage project plans
• Contribute to the development of team policies, procedures, and techniques
• Anticipate potential objections while influencing others to adopt change in support of leadership vision

Qualifications

Preferred skills and education
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in L&D, project management and communications required
• Minimum three years experience designing and developing learning assets for software applications
• Solid understanding of adult learning theory; conversant in one or more cognitive models
• Experience in instructional design and development methodologies including SAM and ADDIE
• Experience with learning development in multiple modalities including instructor-led training (synchronous and asynchronous) and eLearning
• Able to provide a portfolio or samples of prior work preferred
• Demonstrable proficiency with eLearning authoring software including Camtasia and Articulate 360 suite of applications
• Strong oral/written communication skills, ability to communicate concrete and abstract ideas for the appropriate audiences
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, juggle multiple changing priorities, and meet tight deadlines
• Ability to coach and develop project management capabilities in others
• Proven ability to work in teams and independently manage multiple projects, juggle multiple changing priorities, high attention to detail, and ability to meet tight deadlines
