Description

UKG is hiring a Senior Software Engineer who would be responsible for analyzing, developing & designing our high-performance software products.
• Developing software products using modeling techniques and software design patterns
• Developing web-based business applications
• Participate in coding & designing of the application software
• Interpret informal requirement descriptions and detail them for other team members consumption
• Develop server-side business logic and core processing areas
• Participate in code and design reviews to ensure quality and conformance to product standards
• Ability to communicate information effectively to customers at various organizational levels
• Demonstrate good analytical abilities, attention to detail and strong verbal & written communication skills in English

Qualifications

5 -8 years of experience in in a fast-paced environment, working through all phases of the software development lifecycle
Broad experience and in-depth skills with: Javascript, Angular 14, React JS, jQuery, C#, ASP.Net, SQL Database
Experience in engineering practices such as code refactoring, design patterns, design-driven development, continuous integration, building highly scalable applications with security
Experience with Cloud providers (e.g. GCP) and containerization (e.g. Docker)
Strong knowledge for deployment automation
Experience in writing WCF, WebServices and RESTful services
Strong experience working with HTML and CSS
Good experience in reviewing the code and ensure the code quality
Flexibility to understand and adopt pre-existing / legacy code
Team player with strong analytical, problem solving, debugging and troubleshooting skills
Working experience of GIT, Bitbucket, TeamCity / Jenkins
Familiarity with JIRA/TFS
Working experience of writing unit, integration and e2e in Angular
Mobile app development, ideally experience with Ionic
Exposure to reactive programming RxJs (Reactive Extensions for JavaScript)
Prior experience with agile methodologies including Continuous Integration and TDD is a plus
Good experience of testing platform (e.g. Jest, Jasmine, Cypress, Playwright)
Good experience in CI/CD pipeline
Good experience to ensure the code is written based on the Accessibility (A11y) guidelines
Good to have experience in any analytical tool (e.g. Pendo)
