Description & Qualifications


- Writing and reviewing SQLs, stored procedures, functions, and other database constructs as per the requirement and design of the application.
- Propose recommendations for database optimization and improvements
- Participate in design reviews of architecture patterns for database deployments
- Diagnose and resolve production database issues
- Monitor and optimize SQL query performance


• Must have expertise with Open Source Databases (like PostgreSQL, EDB) (Mandatory)
• Total experience of 5-8 years with at least 3-4 years of experience on Postgres (Mandatory)
• Experience with PostgreSQL technologies including Streaming Replication, High Availability, Backup and Recovery, Monitoring Tools and Maintenance Utilities such as Vacuum, Reindex (Mandatory)
• Hands on with database performance tuning, sql tuning (Mandatory)
• Have experience with upgrading databases (Mandatory)
• Experience in setting up PostgreSQL High Availability solutions (Mandatory)
• Knowledge of database design principles, query optimization, index management, integrity checks, statistics and isolation levels (Mandatory)
• Expert Level SQL, PL/pgsql, including stored procedures, functions, triggers, and views. (Mandatory)
• Develop cloud native SAAS products /applications.
• Work with state-of-the-art Cloud technologies.
• Demonstrates accountability and ownership for high quality product releases to internal and external customers
• Attitude to focus on delivering results, keeping in mind the Big Picture – end to end prospective
• Candidate is expected to insist on high standard deliverable from solution providers and to customers driving customer focus and customer obsession
• Should be a good team player, builds trust with team, internal external customers
• Knowledge of GIT, Gradle, Jenkins (Good to have)
• Exposure to Agile/SCRUM methodology (Good to have)
