Our Data Engineering team is building our next-generation data and analytics product to enable our organization's customers to make smarter business decisions. Our team sits alongside our BI and AI (Artificial Intelligence) teams, working closely to ensure we are a data-driven organization. Data Engineering is responsible for building and maintaining a solid platform that powers products, analytics, AI, and ML (Machine Learning) both internally and externally.

Primary/Essential Duties and Key Responsibilities:
•Design, develop, and launch efficient and reliable data pipelines. Ensure CI/CCD, automation and reliability are part of every solution.
•Drive improvements in capacity, reliability, availability, monitoring, and performance of core tool stack systems.
•Translate business requirements into specifications that will be used to implement business objectives.
•Work in a collaborative environment with a diverse group of people and partnering with others. Troubleshoot and perform root-cause-analysis for system-related issues. Participate in design sessions and recommend solutions based on functional and business requirements
•Participate in code review sessions held between other development team members
•Attend daily stand-ups and team meetings.

Qualifications

(If a Bona Fide Occupational Qualification, otherwise it is preferred)
(Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)
•5+ years of experience in one or more programming languages – Java, Scala, or Python
•5+ years of experience with detailed knowledge of BI (Business Intelligence) & data warehouse solutions
•3+ years of experience with event driven architecture.
•3+ years of experience in working with SQL or NoSQL databases.
•2+ years of experience working in Public Cloud environments.
•2+ years of experience automating cloud native technologies, deploying applications, and provisioning infrastructure.
•Experience developing cloud-native CI/CD workflows and tools. Experience using source control such as GitHub. Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:
•Knowledge of CQRS (Command Query Responsibility Segregation) and Event Sourcing.
•Knowledge of microservices architecture.
•Knowledge of BigQuery, Apache Beam, Dataflow and DataProc.
