Description
We are looking for a Lead/Senior Software Engineer to support our Product, Development and Cloud organizations who will implement new technologies and tooling to enable analytics, enhance business operations, and help drive scalable data sharing practices. As an engineer in the Data organization, you'll be responsible for designing and developing the next-generation business tools, workflows, APIs and website for our organization.Primary/Essential Duties and Key Responsibilities:
• Develop, code, and maintain web sites, APIs, workflows, user interfaces and data utilizing our platform in conjunction with the tools we love (SQL, Python, Docker, Airflow, PySpark, GCP, Trello, Github), in addition to new tools that you select yourself to help us accomplish our mission
• Design and code innovative tools to support rapid experimentation, process improvement and learning
• Design systems using Devops best practices such as automated deployment, synchronized isolated workspaces, automatic testing, version control, and CI/CD principles
• Work in a cloud native environment (GCP including Cloud Functions, Dataproc, Cloud Storage, BigQuery) to support our business tools and processes
• Partner with business stakeholders and technology leaders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions and system designs
• Lead projects and be responsible for team deliverables
Qualifications
• 5+ years of software engineering experience• Advanced programming skills in Python
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, STEM, or equivalent experience
• Strong experience in applying best practices for working in a cloud native environment
• Strong experience in using web application frameworks such as Flask, Django or having a solid background on web related software design patterns such as MVC or MVT design
• Experience in frontend development and familiarity with frontend languages including HTML, CSS, Javascript, JQuery or having familiarity with framework such as AngularJS, ReactJs, among others
• Experience with DevOps best practices
