Description & Qualifications


UKG is looking to hire a Lead Software Engineer for one of our teams within the Platform Documents, Forms and E-Signatures domain. You will work with your team and other stakeholders to develop quality software aligned with product and company objectives; and take part in building one of our next generation platform products.

• Building the technical foundations of the product
• Designing, developing, testing, and deploying product features
• Performing peer code reviews
• Monitoring product health and alerts
• Helping your team develop a robust, resilient, secure, quality product and maintain technical debt to a minimum level
• Fostering a culture of delivering quality software in a timely manner and continuously improving the development process
• Participating in both strategic and operational planning
• Mentoring peers and helping them grow their technical skills


• 5+ years of experience using Java or Kotlin
• Experience building event-driven microservices with Kafka
• Experience with front-end development using JavaScript is a plus
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, MongoDB is a plus
• Experience working in a team with strong, agile practices
• Experience using Docker and Kubernetes is a plus
• Experience implementing CQRS and event-sourcing is a plus
