Description

UKG is seeking a Lead Software QA Engineer to help the Payroll Team define & implement world-class test strategies, develop & execute automated/manual test plans, and help ensure the delivery of robust, high quality product releases.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following key characteristics and responsibilities:

• 3 – 5 years’ experience with writing automated tests using C# or automated testing tool (Selenium, TestComplete)
• Ability to write SQL/noSQL queries
• Demonstrated experience writing and executing complex functional test cases and test plans at both the functional and feature level
• Ability to coordinate and direct a QA team to design test strategy and execute testing of a completely new functional implementation and/or release regression
• Demonstrated experience successfully executing different testing methodologies (Performance, White and Black Box testing)
• 3 - 5 years’ experience developing and executing acceptance criteria for complex technical functionality
• 3 - 5 years’ experience successfully documenting test efforts and communicating results to both a technical and non-technical audience
• Proven experience mentoring new QA associates

Qualifications

Required Skills:
• Prior experience with a CI system (TeamCity, Jenkins, etc.)
• Computer Science/Business undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
• Experience with the SDLC
• Self-motivated, positive team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and technical aptitude.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills
• Ability to Code in C# for .NET Framework and .NET Core
• 3 - 5 performing QA testing of a modular enterprise application
• 3 – 5 years’ experience with agile/lean development methodologies such as Kanban or Scrum
• Experience with event-driven architecture and testing patterns

Preferred Skills:
• Experience testing cloud-native applications with Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) solutions.
• In-depth experience in testing large-scale, high-availability SaaS solutions in the cloud.
• Quality Assurance certifications are a plus
