As a Lead QA at UKG your responsibilities include leading multiple Agile development teams that are designed to develop resilient and scalable applications to better serve our customers.
You will work both software development and testing tasks, providing product development support, process mentoring and focusing on the testability, robustness, and performance of production software.

As such, a Lead QA is a software professional with advanced programming skills who can create tools and frameworks to assist the entire software development process. You will work with Software Engineers, Quality Engineers, Business Analysts, Product Managers, and Architects to understand our product vision and feature requirements.

• Conduct, engage, and drive interactions to find a solution to technical/design or business challenges
• Lead and guide critical initiatives that often require complex technical and domain knowledge
• Participate in design meetings with Business Analysts, UX designers, Support and share perspectives on product development ensuring testability and automation
• Lead the team in designing, development and implementation of applications based on technical specifications
• Lead the team in planning, writing, and executing tests on complex data from sourcing to calculation based on business and functional specifications.
• Develop solutions to maximize performance, scalability and reliability of the system by performing usage analysis and create solutions to ensure that the application performs well under load
• Create dashboards that helps to study, analyze and monitor apps and data over a period of time and configures alerts
• Mentor developers and other testers on good automation practices and techniques
• Produce and maintain product coverage reports for automation coverage
• Assist with prioritization of automation tasks on the backlog
• Assist with troubleshooting escalations and critical issues; take ownership until the issue is resolved

Qualifications

• 7 or more years’ experience as a software developer or Quality Engineer or software development engineer in test
• Experience in understanding and implementation of current, and widely accepted, software development standards and practices.
• Working knowledge of the principles of software design and development.
• Experience on service-oriented architecture and continuous delivery.
• Ability to develop and test code in an object-oriented language, such as C#, Java, java script, VB.Net and python
• Ability to write intermediate SQL and NoSQL code and test the software
• Experience with automation tools and frameworks like JUnit, TestNg, NightwatchJS and selenium.
• Experience in performance testing tools (JMeter, gatling and LoadRunner)
• Experience in logging, monitoring and alerting tools (Grafana, Kabana) to create dashboard visualizations of key metrics.
• Ability to understand and execute Context Driven and Session Based testing.
• Working knowledge of testing techniques/methodologies and how to apply them (white box, equivalence class partitioning, pairwise, state transition, boundary value, decision table)
