Description

The Engineering Program Manager is responsible for driving program(s) execution of Software Development Programs from product definition through successful release and final deployment; working closely with Senior Engineering Leadership including Engineering Directors, Service Delivery and Product Management Leads, Architects and other functions to develop and deliver Roadmap commitments and engineering initiatives that support an exceptional experience for our internal and external customers.

• Lead multiple Service/Functional programs and/or global initiatives
• Ability to influence across functional boundaries and across multiple organizational levels to drive results
• Partner closely with stakeholders in Cloud Operations, Development, QA, Product Management, and Architecture to ensure the success of their programs/initiatives
• Creates and delivers presentations, develops communications and communicates to cross-functional audiences both internally and externally
• Develop and manage plans for all aspects of a service team – including functional and non-functional requirements, customer support, and operations enablement
• Make strategic and tactical recommendations to Senior Engineering Leadership to ensure successful delivery of solutions
• Communicate and plan change management activities involving scope, schedule, etc.
• Understand and drive agile/scrum best practices into the organization
• Identifies, develops, and leverages tools and metrics to drive project/program management success
• Drives on-going retrospection to foster continuous improvement

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business or related discipline or equivalent experience. Project Management Professional (PMP), Program Management Professional (PgMP), or Project Management Institute (PMI) certification a plus
• 8+ years of program management experience in Software Development
• Experience in Cloud/SaaS based software development
• Strong understanding and usage of project and program management best practices as well as software development lifecycle, including cross-functional support activities
• Detailed knowledge of agile/scrum and the ability to work within an agile environment
• Strong inter-personal skills. Works effectively and collaboratively with diverse team members
