Description

UKG Ready is the flagship Workforce and Human Capital management product suite for small to medium enterprises for UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group). In this unique role at UKG, your primary responsibility is to develop, maintain and evolve our Design Language System to empower our design and development teams to create beautiful and intuitive products.
In addition to this, you will also collaborate with our senior designers to create exceptional user interfaces and product experiences.

Responsibilities:
• Create and maintain a comprehensive design language system that includes guidelines, components, tokens, patterns, and best practices for UI/UX design.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, UX designers, and developers, to ensure the successful integration and consumption of the design language system.
• Develop and document design principles and standards for typography, color schemes, iconography, and UI components to maintain brand consistency.
• Conduct regular audits of existing products and suggest improvements to align with or enhance the design language system.
• Continuously update and refine the design system based on industry trends, user feedback, and emerging design technologies.
• Provide guidance and training to team members (Designers and developers) on using the design language system effectively.
• Work on projects that involve creating new design elements and components within the established design language system by collaborating closely with senior designers, product managers, and developers to understand project goals and user requirements across varied use cases in the product portfolio.
• Participate in design reviews, brainstorming sessions, and user research to contribute valuable insights and solutions.
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs for digital interfaces.
• Help produce detailed design specifications and documentation to guide development teams for effective delivery of designed product experiences.
• Work on UI/UX projects across various platforms, ensuring consistency and adherence to design principles.
• Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in UX design.
• Account for accessibility, responsive experiences, and other key product considerations.

Qualifications

• Degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Information Design, Graphic Design, or a related design or behavioral science discipline.
• 4-5 years Professional UX/UI Design experience with a focus on building component libraries and deep dive in design systems.
• Current on the latest interaction design techniques & tools; patterns and standards and excellent knowledge of state-of-the-art modern UI technologies to create engaging user experiences
• Obsessive attention to detail and stellar visual design skills (Portfolio necessary)
• Proficiency in using Figma, Sketch, and other design tools.
• Ability to prototype micro-interactions and behaviors. Front end UI familiarity is a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile, startup-like environment with globally distributed teams.
• Flexible and able to succeed within an open and collaborative peer environment by garnering consensus across cross-functional teams for design ideas.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with business owners as well as developers; must have the ability to clearly articulate design rationale in discussions and in presentations.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
• Highly motivated and organized - Strong drive and take ownership to lead projects; Must be able to work in a team environment and take design direction/feedback with positive attitude.
• Experience with Workforce Management or Human Capital Management applications is a plus
