About the Team:

The Learning Experience Designer is a member of the Engineering Product Innovation & Cloud (EPIC) Technical Training team. This Instructional Design role designs and develops exceptional learning content & experiences to convey organizational constructs and methodologies, technical concepts, and processes in a manner that meets learning and business objectives for an internal audience. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of developing effective blended-learning experiences (eLearning, Instructor-Led, On-the-Job Training, Reference & Performance Support). They will have worked in Agile, technology /SaaS environments, and is comfortable working at a face pace. This position requires a good balance of being independent and a team player.

About the Role:

• Collaborates with Learning Program Managers and business partners to determine business/learning needs and measures
• Works with engineering subject matter experts to deliver learning content and experiences
• Rapidly designs and develops engaging and content and activities using holistic ID principles to meet internal performance needs.
• Creates content in multiple modalities (eLearning, software simulations, OJT, classroom, etc.).
• Uses EPIC Tech Training design processes, templates, and tools.
• Stays current in training trends and recommends innovative solutions for training media, methods, approaches, and new ideas in a cost-effective manner
• Works within Agile practices to ensure projects are completed on time and according to design, development, and quality standards

Qualifications

About You:

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Instructional Design, Education, or related
• 5+ years as an Instructional Designer or equivalent experience designing and developing blended learning solutions
• Experience developing multiple instructional modalities including instructor-led (synchronous and asynchronous), eLearning, & structured experiences.  
• Ability to develop training that incorporates adult learning theories, visual learning design, and interactive training techniques
• Strong proficiency with industry standard eLearning development software - Articulate 360 preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Strong analytical skills - differentiates ‘need-to-know’ and ‘nice-to-know’ content
• Strong oral/written communication and editing skills, ability to communicate concrete and abstract ideas for the appropriate audiences
• Must be flexible and be able to work both in teams and individually, influence change, manage multiple commitments, demonstrate high attention to detail, and meet tight deadlines
