UKG is seeking an experienced Automation Manager to join our extremely talented team! As one of our leaders, you will be responsible for a team of automation engineers focusing on enterprise-wide innovation and digital transformation. The position requires someone who can motivate a team, be an advocate for automation, has a collaborative attitude, has a good understanding of Agile SDLC practices, software development and has a passion for leading a team that will meet our internal and external customer business needs. The ideal candidate will possess experience using UiPath for RPA development, and a strong desire to strive for development standards and efficiencies in an API and service-oriented architecture, who will enjoy working in a fast-paced team environment that is passionate about their team and contributing to our exciting digital transformation and growth.

As a (RPA) leader, you will be responsible for a team of engineers who design, develop, test, deploy and support of automations.
• Hands on leader who is involved with their team on day-to-day development tasks
• Participates in design sessions based on business requirements to determine appropriate architectural design and UX
• Works closely with other leaders to scope and align development efforts to sprints
• Participates in code review sessions among other development team members and architects
• Spends 25% of the day developing and 75% in manager/leader role
• Updates assigned user stories with the latest information and status.
• Works as Lead Developer regarding application support, helping to oversee the communication, analysis, testing, and implementation as the need arises
• Prioritizes the ongoing personal development and growth of the engineers on the team
• Has some understanding of infrastructure and can troubleshoot issues and engage the appropriate engineering teams as issues arise that fall out of our domain
• Identifies and suggests ways to improve processes across the team and department
• Helps the engineering team manage deadlines and scope changes

Qualifications

Candidate should possess 2-3 years' experience managing a Development team
• Strong comprehensive of the Agile - Software Development Life Cycle
• Has experience with UiPath
• Ability to lead a team in a fast-paced dynamic environment
• Able to work with diverse team members with different levels of experience
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Must be clear and concise in written and oral communications
• Ability to understand system functionality, process, and architecture at a technical and business level
• Self-motivated and accountable to “do what it takes” to get the job done
• Ability to identify and prioritize technical system and application issues in a timely manner
• Must be open to feedback from team members but also give continuous feedback to their team
• Builds and maintains strong peer relationships across the organization
• Be an advocate for finding additional areas where Automation can help UKG grow
• Degree in Computer Science or related discipline preferred.
