Job Summary:

As a Manager of User Experience for the Payroll domain, you lead a small team of designers and a researcher in support of the improvement of our HCM product suite. You set your team up for success by establishing appropriate goals, and balancing projects and resources. You know how to deliver design work of high quality, give honest and compassionate feedback, and can draw on your own skills and experience to inspire and mentor others. You foster your team's professional and personal development by matching strengths and growth opportunities with critical business needs. You invest in partnerships with Product Development leaders, reinforcing and growing your understanding of business opportunities, priorities and dependencies. You direct your team's energies toward solving the right problems, framing the big picture in a clear, relatable way. You will also contribute to feature deliverables in the form of workflows, sketches at a wide range of fidelity, mockups, wireframes, prototypes, etc.

Primary/Essential Duties and Key Responsibilities:

-Leading and mentoring designers and researchers to do their best work across multiple HCM applications; recruiting and onboarding new team members.

-Bringing your team an understanding of strategic priorities, and guiding them through organization and process changes.

-Promoting a deep, shared understanding of customer needs through User Research which inform design decisions.

-Overseeing project timelines and deliverables; and aligning resources to ensure expectations are clearly communicated, and project goals are met.

-Advocating for consistent and compelling product experiences by upholding brand, usability and quality standards and practices. Elevating these standards on your team and within our UX community.

-Building a culture of trust and collaboration within your team, and among your cross-functional peers and partners in leadership.

-Clearly communicating a design vision for the products you support, internally and externally.

-Partnering with Product Managers, Business Analysts, and Engineering to define product requirements, and staying engaged with current product roadmaps. Leading product-level design discussions, workshops, decision-making, and documentation.


-Bachelor’s Degree in a field related to UX Design or User Research

-5-7 years experience as a Designer for Enterprise applications

-A knack for engaging and partnering with a wide variety of disciplines and personalities.

-The ability to balance multiple concurrent work streams

-The flexibility to positively adapt to frequent change

-A portfolio demonstrating your ability to influence and mentor as well as your practice, process and communication style.
