We are looking for a Software Engineering Manager who is passionate about leading, customer satisfaction, programming, quality, team building and process improvements. This position requires the ability to lead and grow a cross-functional team of analysts, engineers and testers as they work to deliver client-specific solutions while providing world-class customer service.
Key components for success in this role include: the ability to effectively communicate across the team and broader organization including Customer Success, Global Delivery, and Product & Engineering; the ability to manage project delivery against client-committed dates; and the ability grow and develop an engaged, creative team.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
• Lead a cell of 7-8 cross-functional resources focused on delivering client-specific solutions for the UKG Pro suite of products
• Partner with peer leaders in Customer Success, Global Delivery, and Product & Engineering to plan, resource and deliver customer value with a focus on continuous delivery of client-specific development projects
• Ensure that projects are being delivered on schedule
• Run and implement continuous improvement initiatives
• Help guide the development process for your team
• Administer all Manager HR functions including but not limited to hiring, coaching, building and maintaining engagement and holding team members accountable
• Ensure your team implements any department initiatives including high-performing team behaviors
• Serve as an escalation point for critical issues including Escalated Projects and Support tickets
• Facilitate team communication regarding team issues
• Identify areas to improve operational efficiencies within the team to deliver more value to our clients
• Assist team with achieving Key Performance Indicator targets including Customer Satisfaction, Quality and Throughput
• Ensure that team is aligned with higher level departmental and company strategic and financial goals
• Think critically to identify problems, evaluate alternatives, and recommend effective solutions
• Demonstrate exceptional leadership ability and team building skills
• Model and encourage a continual improvement mindset
• Provide excellent customer service
• Independently manage impediments and escalate to senior leadership when appropriate

Qualifications

• Proficiency in the Agile development life cycle
• Proficiency in Kanban or Scrum
• Proven technical problem-solving skills
• Proven ability to lead change in a dynamic, fast paced organization
• Experience setting goals and focusing on measurable results
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with other groups within the organization
• Commitment to excellence and high standards
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
