HR Reporting ManagerOverview: Build and manage a team of HR reporting analysts to serve the company’s needs for People reporting. This manager will design, implement, run and innovate processes to deliver high quality and timely employee reporting to requestors within UKG while adhering to data governance rules and standards. This manager would be seeking opportunities to drive improved quality, SLAs and standardization through self-service reports, automation and strong management skills.
Key responsibilities:
• Management of inbound requests
o Ensures all requests come through a single system to provide complete visibility and consistency of processing of requests.
o Approves, denies or requests additional information based on criteria including business needs . data governance rules, company policies, legal requirements.
o Reviews and assigns work to reporting team based on scope and skills and partners with other teams (eg HR tech and HR Analytics) for re-assignment when needed
• Execution of approved requests
o Assigns work to team members based on skill sets and prioritization based on timing needs.
o Ensures consistency with past similar requests from the same/other requestors.
o Defines strategy to leverage appropriate data sources and best delivery strategy (Pro, BI reports, Excel, Visier, etc.)
o Manages and executes queue of scheduled/ongoing approved reports.
o Ensures data reports are delivered in secure fashion protecting PII rules and in accordance with GDPR and other data privacy standards
o Maintains established SLAs
o Confers with other teams (eg People Insights, HR Tech) to ensure consistency
• Process optimization
o Improves intake forms/process to minimize the amount of info required in request while maximizing completeness and avoiding follow up clarifications
o Identifies and implements solutions to reduce requests through proactive reporting and self-service reporting
o Refines and implements vision for end delivery vehicles for self-service (Pro, Visier, BI) for defined personas
o Partners with appropriate COEs to communicate changes to process and help train end users where needed to ensure usage.
o Proactively collects feedback from main users/requests for improvements.
o Defines and reports on key performance metrics including volume, time to complete, Re-works needed, # of automated/self service reports, etc.
• Leadership and Influence
o Design, hire and develop reporting team to handle wide breadth of requests and delivery tools include full range of complexity from structured to unstructured, from proactive to reactive and from simple tools (excel) to more complex (BI reports)
o Works with Analytics team to ensure consistency in data reporting using same filters and fields with strong hand off to Analytics for Insight
o Key stakeholder in HR wide data practices including data governance and data dictionary.
Qualifications
• Prior experience with and understanding of HR data• 4+ years prior experience with major BI reporting tools
• Understanding of relational databases
• Excellent Excel skills and strong skills with other Microsoft products
• Understanding of mathematical calculations and formulas
• Strong communication skills and the ability to be consultative with customers
• Ability to uphold data governance policies and protect data privacy according to external standards and internal requirements including the ability to tactfully decline requests that do not comply with established standards
• Ability to maintain the highest confidentiality
• Customer service experience
• Prior experience leading, coaching and managing a team of reporting analysts
• Prior experience in a shared services environment
