Description
UKG is looking to hire a Engineering Manager for one of our HRSD Team. You will work within a global and distributed team to develop quality software aligned with product and company objectives; and take part in building one of our next generation platform products.

The Engineering Manager will provide Leadership to teams for one of our product HRSD, working on developing, maintaining software to enhance and support the engineering activities.
The Engineering Manager will be responsible for the direct management of Software Engineers to learn, develop, integrate new features and maintain our product.
Our Leadership principles are trust in the foundation of successful relationships, we expect our engineering manager to collaborate closely with all stakeholders including direct teams and operate at all levels. Engineering manager ownership including owning team deliverables as per organization business objectives and fostering an environment deliver faster value to our clients.

You will be a key collaborator, leader, and influencer within UKG engineering culture, improving product and process equally to increase customer satisfaction.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (other duties may be assigned)

• Create the conditions for your Engineers to succeed, collaborate with other organizations within the company to eliminate roadblocks for your teams
• Partner with the Product Management team to meet or exceed all committed product timelines for the teams
• Synthesize high-level initiative descriptions and direction from your Executive Leadership to drive clear problem and success definitions for your teams
• Manage the engineering capacity of a ~8 or more associates team
• Manage hiring plan/continually improve the talent and engagement level of the teams
• Own and work towards team’s deliveries and debt towards delivering business value to our clients
• Represent the team at department level meetings and functions
• Continually triage and assign work based on team capabilities in the face of dynamic/shifting demands
• Manage quality of product KPI, manage SLA of the team and drive continuous improvement
• Separate and combine tasks into efficient workflow for the teams
• Work with individuals to set appropriate, challenging development goals, meet requirements and expectations of both internal and external customers
• Provide actionable feedback and opportunities to team members to lead them to high performance
• Create strong team morale and spirit, defining success in team terms and sharing wins and successes
Qualifications

Qualifications

Required Qualifications/Skills:
• 12+ years of total experience in software industry
• 6+ years of experience developing enterprise-scale SaaS products
• Strong communication skills
• Multiple years of experience in managing teams using Agile/Scrum methodologies
• 3+ years of experience managing Software Engineers and Quality Analysts
• Scrum Master experience will be a plus
