Description & Qualifications


We are hiring a bilingual Operations Research Developer to join our Forecasting and Scheduling Engines team. The hired person will be responsible for the development and maintenance of forecasting and employee scheduling engines features embedded in our Workforce Management software flagship product.

This position reports to the manager of the Forecasting Engines team and will work closely with the product management, architecture, and support teams to deliver mission-critical software components. The ideal candidate will possess a variety of skills required for solving complex optimization, machine learning and statistical problems, including strong algorithmic thinking, complexity analysis, data structures and ability to analyze large datasets. Excellent communication skills are required, as the position requires close collaboration with fellow developers, product managers, architects, and support specialists.

• Participate in the analysis, modeling, prototyping, design and development of forecasting and scheduling engines features
• Evaluate the engines’ results, by unit tests, functional, integration and performance tests, and improve them if necessary
• Collaborate with other team members, architects, product owners (POs), QAs and technical writers to ensure proper implementation of business needs
• Help build the skills of less experienced team members and propose proactive process improvements
• Participate in writing technical documents (functional specifications, design documents, etc.) as needed
• Participate in the deliverables review process (code, documents, etc.)
• Adhere and promote standards for best development practices
• Participate in the Agile process, including planning and estimating the work


• 3+ years of software development experience
• 3+ years experience in Operations Research, Machine Learning, Data Mining and/or statistical analysis tools
• Degree in Operations Research, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics or another related field. Master’s or Ph.D. is preferred.
• Experience in programming with Java / OO
• Experience in the scheduling or forecasting domain is an asset
• Results oriented and strong customer focus
• Good communication skills in French and English, both written and spoken.
