About the Role:The Payroll Representative performs payroll-related functions, including payroll processing, payroll tax compliance, automated timekeeping systems and payroll reporting in a multi-site, multi-state, high-volume environment. The Payroll Specialist provides excellent customer service to managers and associates and is well versed in payroll compliance, taxes and reporting.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Perform payroll-related functions including but not limited to payroll processing, audits and maintenance
• Process payroll(s) for multi-frequency Managed Services clients as scheduled
• Perform file imports into payroll system from various sources and reviews and verifies payroll data in a timely manner
• Build strong partnership with clients by providing superior service
• Develop and maintains awareness of SSAE16 requirements and accountable for compliance of each task performed
• Quarter End, Year End, and Open Enrollment assistance and task execution
Qualifications
About You:Basic Qualifications:
• 1-2 years exp performing full life-cycle payroll processing with knowledge of multi-state payroll tax laws, (no hand-offs)
• You'll use Microsoft Office Suite of software to include Outlook, Word and Excel, to correspond with clients, analyze data, and perform reporting
• An Associate's degree (A.A.) or its equivalent, one to two years of relevant experience, or a comparable combination of training and experience
Preferred Qualifications
• Detail oriented, exhibiting strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
• Proficient report writing capabilities
• Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels
• Ability to analyze and resolve problems through effective customer service interface and communication
• FPC/CPP Certification preferred
