UKG is seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst to join our IT team and play a key role in transforming our enterprise systems landscape. The Principal Business Analyst will partner with a cross functional group of stakeholders including Global Delivery Services, Sales and Finance to elicit and document requirements for new solutions focused in PSA (Professional Services Automation). Qualified candidates must possess broad experience conducting requirements gathering sessions, creating solution designs, configuring the system to meet the requirements and work with developers where solution extensions are required. This position demands strong organizational skills and problem-solving expertise, while working with current and emerging technologies, and managing team dynamics. Excellent analytical skills, team orientation, flexibility, innovative thinking, problem solving, and self-motivation are required for success.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Work with numerous business stakeholders across multiple departments to identify and prioritize requirements
• Develop and implement transformation strategies to enable Global Delivery Services to reduce customer implementation timelines (aka time-to-live)
• Identify and assess business opportunities and areas for improvement for delivering value to our customers faster
• Manage cross-functional stakeholders to drive change while communicating and negotiating to gain support and buy-in
• Design & assess system architectures and work with technical staff to recommend solutions to improve it
• Lead and create deliverables for all aspects of business analysis and functional design for our initiatives. Activities include requirements elicitation, functional specification creation, use case analysis and visual model development
• Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, analyzing and understanding business requirements, business processes, functional requirements, cross-functional needs and system capabilities
• Employ a variety of approaches to collecting and documenting business, functional and user requirements such as leading workshops, writing use cases, creating context diagrams, performing stakeholder analysis
• Build and maintain strong peer relationships within the team and across the organization
Project/Portfolio Management
• Execute responsibilities with an understanding of the product vision, strategic objectives, and priorities
• Develop, lead, and execute organization readiness activities, including clear and detailed plans or checklists for testing, communications, training, technical cutover, go-live, and post go-live support
Leadership
• Mentor and educate others regarding methodologies, best practices, and tools.
• Keep current with other system changes that may impact the solutions provided by the team.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications/Skills:• 4+ years of experience with Professional Services Automation (PSA)
• 6+ years of experience in Business Systems Analysis (CBAP – Certified Business Analysis Professional preferred)
• 2+ years of experience with Salesforce administration
• Strong understanding project lifecycle, processes, and metrics
• Experience writing requirements and acceptance criteria on an enterprise software development team
• Must have working knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, MS Visio, and MS Project
Preferred Qualifications:
• Able to look at the big picture, speculate and conceptualize outcomes and identify trends
• Strong Problem-Solving Skills - Ability to analyze and critically evaluate gathered information to resolve conflicts, anticipate issues, and make priority decisions.
• High degree of organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail.
• Self-motivated and willing to “do what it takes” to get the job done
