The Principal of Competitive Research and Insights will be a key member of the Product Insights and Analytics team within the Research & Innovation organization. The primary objectives for the role encompass, market expertise, competitive research, content development, and product enablement.

The right person will bring extensive industry experience from Workforce Management (WFM) and Human Capital Management (HCM), comprehensive market research expertise, and customer-driven problem-solving prowess.

Activities will be focused in the following areas:

Practical WFM and HCM competitor profiles and product trajectories -
- Perform focused research of HCM and WFM marketplace, including analysis of vendor capabilities, offerings, points of differentiation, and competitive advantage.
- Develop actionable reports, content, and tools that support the needs of internal stakeholders.
- Conduct landscape research projects independently and with the team.

Strategic WFM and HCM market trends and competitive insights -
- Provide recommendations as an input into defining and refining product strategy and priorities.
- Monitor and incorporate relevant broader technology and consumer trends.
- Synthesize and simplify complex information into a consumable format and actionable insights.


- Proven experience in consulting, industry analysis, market research, or analytical product development.
- An exceptional communicator, at all levels, who intuitively recognizes patterns and has a keen interest in providing purposeful and accurate insight.
- WFM expertise with strong HCM knowledge along with global expertise.
- Ideally you will possess a balance of analytical, content development, communication and presentation skills.
- A critical thinker who can organize and prioritize work, managing several projects simultaneously, while meeting deadlines and working collaboratively as well as independently.
- Regarded as an advisor and influencer on competitive themes and trends to senior leaders and internal stakeholders.
A strong service ethic with empathy for the colleagues, customers, and markets you serve.
- Demonstrated ability to work in world-class product organization in a high-growth software company
