**Hybrid remote/onsite 2 days per week**

The Data Architect plays a primary role in providing architectural, data process, and integration support/expertise as part of BI/Data Warehouse Services team. Through the development of reliable and stable data models, master data management, reference data management, metadata management, and data quality assurance initiatives, the Data Architect oversees the technical design of the data architecture platform(s) while defining data modeling methodologies, standards, and tools.
This individual leads processes that cover requirements gathering, systems and data analysis to create/align optimal data architectures with business initiatives. This requires the development of strong, credible relationships with all team members and the promotion of technology roadmap(s) in a way that both business and technical teams can understand and support.

Responsibilities include:
• Translate business requirements into technology solutions
• Identify data in source environments, profile, and map data
• Responsible for ensuring high-quality design of dimensional, relational, and master data models
• Lead and partner in the creation of conceptual, logical, and physical data assets aligned with enterprise initiatives to rebuild EDW and implement MDM/DQ solutions.
• Provide strategic guidance with respect to MDM best practices
• Architect and design an end-to-end data pipeline using a modern cloud architecture
• Provide technical leadership, oversight, and guidance to ensure adherence to design and/or solution to meet technical and business objectives
• Document the data architecture and environment to maintain a current and accurate view of the data platform
• Maintain data mappings, data dictionaries, enterprise data architectures (schemas/models), with appropriate tools, access, and version controls
• Promote change control processes and ensure program/project communications
• Strong leadership, communications, and presentation ability to convey extremely complex and/or abstract ideas effectively to any level of management
• Ensure timely proactive issue identification, escalation & resolution
• Work independently with minimal supervision


• 10+ years of experience in information and data management
• Possess solid experience and knowledge of data architectures including data lake, star/snowflake schema, 3NF, non-relational, and associated methodologies.
• Strong modeling experience, and ability to develop conceptual, logical and physical data models using standard tools
• Experience with Cloud DW platforms like Azure SQL Warehouse (Synapse Analytics) is desired
• Practical leadership in data integration tools (ADF/SSIS, Data Bricks, Informatica etc) and reporting tools (Power BI, AAS, Cognos, SSRS/SSAS etc).
• Practical leadership and experience in master data management & associated tools (Profisee, IBM, Informatica, TIBCO, etc.)
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Salesforce is a plus
• A deep understanding of data lifecycle (data profiling, data quality, master data management, data warehouses/marts etc)
• Good knowledge of SQL
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and oral/written communication skills
• Working knowledge of project management methodologies and software project life cycle and associated with those methodologies
