Description
UKG is the world leader in design and manufacturing of time-clocks for Workforce Management. These time-clocks are used for tracking time and attendance, as well as for self-service features such as taking time off and checking accruals. These user friendly devices run on the Android operating system and offer multiple options for card readers and power supply choices for seamless integration into a facility's infrastructure. These clocks are certified for safety and meet EMC compliance to allow them to be sold in more than 50 countries.As a Principal Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for the following:
- New designs or changes to existing design to address product life-cycle events such as obsolescence, supply-chain shortages or new customer needs as they arise.
- Perform root-cause analysis of field failures using engineering analysis and common problem-solving methods.
- Work with manufacturing to create tests, procedures or processes to improve efficiency, reduce cost, and ensure a quality product reaches our customers.
- Create prototypes for experimental designs, assemble and test modifications to existing designs.
We are working in a hybrid model, collaborating on site in our Lowell office 3 days each week, the other days remote. There may be occasions when business calls for more than 3 days in the office in a given week.
Qualifications
Basic:- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related with 7+ years of experience
- Experience in EE Safety and EMC compliance for IT equipment or similar
- Experience in analog design using op-amps, MOSFETs, switching regulators
- Experience in schematic capture utilizing DxDesigner or Altium
Preferred:
- Experience in microprocessor design including PMIC and startup power synchronization
- Experience in design of RF card readers such as NFC or 125 KHz RF readers
- Experience in compliance with CE marking requirements for intentional radiators such as RF card readers
- Experience in circuit design using MIPI or LVDS for displays
- Experience in layout using PADS Professional, Expedition or Altium Designer
