Description & Qualifications


UKG is looking for a hardworking and driven Principal Financial Analyst to support our growing Finance organization. As a key contributor, you will be an essential member responsible for the oversight and reporting for Cloud operations data, metrics and analysis while monitoring the results and ensure they drive margin efficiency. This role will also be responsible for overseeing and assisting with Budgets and Forecasts for Cloud operations, enhanced variance analysis and reporting.
The Principal Financial Analyst will be working closely with the EPIC (Engineering, Product, Innovation and Cloud) organization and should have a strong background in project and Cloud operations. The candidate will interact with key stakeholders to ensure critical costs supporting the EPIC business is accurately assessed and reported.

Primary/Essential Duties and Key Responsibilities:
• Engage and collaborate with key stakeholders to assess cost structures pertaining to Cloud environments and all supporting Software tools and Labor aspects
• Identify cost mappings to reflect current business utilization to communicate results, trends, and other key insights more accurately
• Lead in solving for the incremental costs associated with continued customer growth
• Oversee the long-term cost modeling with inputs through business collaboration, sales modeling, contracted vendor obligations, and forecast customer utilization
• Initiate ad-hoc metrics by assessing and conveying the financial impact of business projects and initiatives to the overall margin
• Expertise with identifying and anticipating the impacts to the cost margin at the customer, product, and solutions level and messaging those results
• Advocate internal process improvements, best practices, and seek business efficiency savings where possible
• Support internal reporting as it relates to EPIC expenses within key financials, budget and other analysis as needed


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Strong organizational and analytical skills to understand business requirements
• Detail-oriented and skilled to lead in formulating key assumptions to reflect business activities most accurately
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and prioritize deliverables
• Strong ability and willingness to perform hands-on analysis as needed
• Influential in working as a business partner to operational groups
• Effective communication skills; listening, written and verbal; ability to communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Think imaginatively and intuitively while quickly grasping technical aspects
• Ability to work in a collaborative team environment to solve business problems by consulting with others
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including strong data manipulation skills
Experience, Education, Certification, License and Training
• B.A. in Finance, Accounting or a related field
• 10+ years of experience in financial analysis and modeling and working in a Software company
