UKG is working on a new product which will support our customers in their effort to create and promote an innovative, people-focused culture. With an emphasis on collaboration and accountability, our product will nurture an employee's work journey by personalizing and illuminating their path forward through actionable suggestions, which radically increases both personal job fulfillment and overall employee retention. This position requires technical excellence with complex and distributed systems, along with a strong ability to communicate both within your team, and across the organization. We work in small teams with daily stand ups, regular releases, and a culture of ownership.

Primary Responsibilities:

* Collaborate with architects and technical leads to spec, write and deploy code
* Brainstorm features with product managers and designers, and guide decisions based on your knowledge of the codebase
* Collaborate with DevOps engineers to create and enhance our pipelines
* Work as a fully contributing team member and works effectively without supervision and guidance and can act as a mentor for members

Qualifications

* Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline or equivalent experience
* 7+ years experience engaging with software/test engineers on enterprise level software development projects
* Prior experience using Javascript/Typescript, Frontend Frameworks (e.g. Angular), Java and SQL
* Experience with unit testing processes and tools (JUnit, Mockito, Karma, Jasmine, etc.)
* Good understanding of software Security practices
* Good understanding of Microservice patterns/deployment and Cloud deployments
* Experience with CI/CD tooling (Github Actions, Nightwatch.js)
* Experience with Docker, Kubernetes and public cloud deployment platforms (GCP)
* Clear communicator who works well in a team setting

Nice to have skills:

* Experience with working on mobile applications with iOS or Android (Ionic)
* Experience with MySQL, Liquibase, Redis, Reactor Core and Spring Boot
* Experience using Message Brokers like Kafka
* Experience with monitoring tools like Grafana
