Description
Principal Software Engineer, UKG, Inc., Weston, FloridaDescription
Will provide technical excellence with complex and distributed software systems and will be responsible for communicating software solutions within team and across the organization. Specific duties include:
• Participating in agile software development using Kanban and Scrum methodology in an enterprise-scale Software as a Service (“SaaS”) production environment.
• Focusing on data-driven processes that lead to continuous improvement for the software engineering team.
• Collaborating with the product management team on software product strategy and roadmaps.
• Setting product and technical roadmaps and the plans for achieving them.
• Working with the project management team to plan and execute the software engineering team’s initiatives.
• Supporting and mentoring a team of highly motivated software engineers, including current and future leaders.
• Building and maintaining productive relationships with a diverse array of stakeholders.
• Conducting research and analysis, developing prototypes, and collaborating with other engineers and stakeholders to ensure the final product meets user needs.
• Responsible for developing software solutions and writing code that meets quality standards and technical requirements.
• Ensuring software developed by the organization is of high quality and meets security standards. This involves Code Reviews, testing and quality assurance, security audits, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

Qualifications
QualificationsPosition requires a Bachelor’s degree (or an equivalent foreign degree) in Computer Science, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, IT or a closely related field as well as 7 years of experience as a Software Engineer designing and developing software modules in n-Tier architecture and web applications. Must also have 5 years of experience (which can have been gained concurrently with the primary experience requirement above) working with the following:
• .NET technologies and related software development tools including Visual Studio, C#, ASP.NET, MVC, SQL Server, and Azure.
• Front-end framework including Angular 13, jQuery, TypeScript, and Jasmine-Karma.
• Writing Automated Unit Test cases in MS Test or N-Unit.
• JIRA or Azure DevOps project management methodologies and tools.
• Agile methodologies including SAFE, DevOps, Scrum or Kanban.
• Continuous Integration and Deployment (CI/CD) tool- either Azure DevOps 2019 or Bitbucket.
• REST API Microservices architecture.
• Leading technical projects and offshore and onsite development teams including mentoring junior engineers and working in a multi-time zone environment.
This is a hybrid position working 3 days at our office in Weston, Florida and 2 days from home.
