Description

The Principal Software QA Architect is a senior position responsible for the leading new and existing Quality Assurance initiatives, and will be instrumental in managing QA processes, driving test methods, risk analysis and Cloud Strategy. Candidates will have extensive experience designing solution architectures for an enterprise software, service virtualization, or systems integration company.
The Principal Software QA Architect drives test automation strategy. The architect sets the technical direction for QA work and leads the test automation team. The Architect works closely with development and the test team to meet the quality objectives of the organization. As a Principal Software QA Architect at UKG you will:
•Establish design principles for QA automation and Performance Testing and present options and recommendations as needed
•Design and maintain test automation frameworks
•Design and architect modular and reusable automated testing solutions
•Work closely with the test team to identify new automation opportunities and communicate test progress, test results, and other relevant information
•Mentor others in our test automation teams
•Contribute to managing of test environments
•Keep current with advances in QA automation methodologies, tools through research, evaluation, and deployment of new test tools
•Ability to apply your knowledge and experience with CI/CD methodology and tools
•Define approach to test entire systems and design, plan, execute, monitor, improved testing process for a testing engagement
•Oversee/ensure the quality of test plans, test cases, test matrix, and bug reporting

Qualifications

•Minimum of 7+ years in QA and software industry and a strong understanding of Cloud Technologies with demonstrated success in deploying and maintaining cloud services; University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or field and/or experience.
•Experience in selecting, designing, and implementing test automation frameworks, experience developing in-house automation tools with and passionate about software quality and software testing
•Extensive scripting and development experience in a broad range of programming languages, knowledge of Database (RDBMS) technology with hands on experience in SQL
•Advanced experience in Cloud and Virtualization
•The ideal candidate will have proven leadership skills, software development experience, deep understanding of formal QA tools, methodology/processes, and knowledge or experience with service virtualization
•Hands-on experience with Selenium Web Driver, Nightwatch or other JavaScript based tools, JIRA, Microsoft Office Suite, expertise with continuous integration (Jenkins, etc.)
•Successful track record as a 'hands on' QA Lead or QA Leadership function with the ability to mentor other
•Desired experience in any of the following: Designing and building automated test frameworks for web and mobile applications (iOS and Android), experience with the full software development lifecycle, GCP (Google Cloud Platform) and/or experienced in developing and testing entire systems with capability to understand details of mixed technologies
•Candidates must be commuting distance to one of the posted office locations
